The Timberlake Police Department is now hiring part time Police Officers.
All applicants must have a valid drivers license at time of application. Must have current OPOTA certification. Must have three (3) years of paid part time police experience or eighteen (18) months paid full time police experience. Must not have any felony, domestic violence, or certain misdemeanor convictions. Must be a US Citizen. Must pass a thorough background investigation. $18.00 per hour

This system provides subscribers the option to receive notifications via text, email, and/or voice, related to weather events, emergencies, road closures, and more. Lake County residents can also sign up to receive community specific alerts. Sign up takes less than 60 seconds and can help keep you and your family safe during an emergency. Users are advised that this system is made available to Lake County residents and businesses as a supplement, and not a replacement for, existing public safety warning and information notification systems such as television and radio. It’s easy to travel to and from Timberlake with convenient access to major Routes and Freeways….and only about twenty minutes from both Cleveland and the county seat in Painesville, Ohio. The village is located on two main routes, on Lakeshore Boulevard at the North end of State Route 91. Timberlake is nearly completely surrounded by Eastlake, with one entrance to the village coming through Lakeline, and the remaining portion bordering beautiful Lake Erie.

John a native-born Clevelander and has been married for 30 years. He is a father of four and a grandfather of two. He chose to run for the Timberlake mayor because he soon fell in love with the village very shortly after he moved in. Living in a lake community was always a dream of a forever home for his wife and himself. He knew he made the right decision as soon as he moved in. His background in construction and owning his own company for many years prepared him well to serve.
